Natural Hair Culturist Program

The Natural Hair Culturist Program is a 400 hour class (4 - 6 months) licensed by the State of Michigan Board of Cosmetology. It is designed to train individuals in all facets of braiding, locking, and natural hair care. This includes history, theory, herbs, product development, and business management

How does this program work?

Months 1 - 2 Students receive approximately 200 hours of education in theory, history, business management and natural hair care techniques.
   
Months 3 - 4 Students receive approximately 200 hours of practical hands-on application of techniques and business skills learned while serving clients on the clinic floor of the school.
   
Finally Students receive a certificate of completion stating student has satisfactorily complied with all specified terms of the program.  Students also participate in an annual graduation and hair show to showcase their unique style of braiding, hair locking and natural hair styling.
   
Class Schedule

Classes are available on a full-time or part-time basis, with day or evening schedules. New students begin the 1st Wednesday of ewach month. Day hours are Wed. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Evening hours are Wed. - Fri. 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
